Ich bin geboren im Norden Deutschlands und mit meiner Familie im Süden Dänemarks aufgewachsen.

Die Verbindung nach Dänemark ist stets prägend für mich in Sachen Lebensstil und dem Entwerfen von Kleidung. Schon im Kindesalter zeichnete und malte ich auf Leinwänden und versuchte mich mit Nadel und Faden. Neben künstlerischen Hobbys ist eine wichtige Tätigkeit der Sport (Fußball). 

Dieses Hobby, dass ich am Rande der Professionalität ausübte, lehrte mich Disziplin, Teamgeist und volle Hingabe zur einer Sache zu entwickeln. Die Hingabe zur Mode kam einerseits viel durch meinen großen Bruder, auch wenn wir heute zwei komplett verschiedene Individuen sind. Die Mode ist ein großer Verbindungspunkt zwischen uns. Durch mein sehr enges Familienverhältnis und jahrelangen Freundschaften sind Punkte wie Ehrlichkeit und Vertrauen großer Bestandteil meiner Arbeiten.

Ich stieg in die Thematik „Mode“ intensiv ein, als ich 2015 meinen Realschulabschluss machte und mich fragen musste „was will ich wirklich machen?“. 

Somit absolvierte ich erfolgreich mein Fachabitur von 2015 bis 2018 mit einer staatlich geprüften Ausbildung als „Gestaltungstechnischer Assistent, Schwerpunkt Mode und Design“.

 

Einer meiner größten Inspirationsquellen ist der Alltag. In meinen Arbeiten steckt ein Prozess, der weitestgehend im Kopf stattfindet und nicht auf Papier.  Ich sammle, wenn ich in Städten oder auch in der Natur bin, immer wieder neue Eindrücke. Sei es von Menschen, Gebäuden oder anderen Faktoren. Dann bleibe ich kurz stehen und schieße ein Foto. Diese Eindrücke teile ich via Social Media mit der Intention, dass es jemanden vielleicht genau so imponiert in diesem Moment wie mir.

Die volle Hingabe zu schwarz & weiß kam mit den Jahren. Ich habe viele Stilrichtungen ausprobiert und hatte letztendlich so viele Sachen, dass ich mich jeden Morgen gar nicht mehr entscheiden konnte und vor allem mich nicht mehr mit dem identifizieren konnte was ich da trug.  So kam es, dass ich die wirkliche Schönheit und die Hingabe zu Schwarz & Weiß entwickeln konnte. Wenn man diese trägt, dann muss man diese selbstbewusst, gewollt, mit voller Hingabe und einer Selbstverständlichkeit tragen. 

 

Unperfekt kann Perfekt sein. 

In meinen Arbeiten verwende ich gerne offene Kantenverarbeitung oder lasse Fäden herausstehen. Diese Herangehensweise spiegelt die Lebhaftigkeit der Kleidung für mich wieder. Andererseits arbeite ich sehr genau und feile an einer Sache so lange bis sie sitzt. Deswegen ist für mich das Unperfekte, perfekt. Eine unvollkommene Perfektion wenn man so will. Meine Produkte sind auf eine lange Lebensdauer ausgelegt. Sowohl von der Qualität, der Verarbeitung als auch vom Trendaspekt her. Ein roter Faden ist für mich von Kollektion zu Kollektion von enormer Wichtigkeit. Von aktuellen Trends distanziere ich mich komplett und arbeite Trendfest. Somit schwimme ich gegen den Strom der heutigen Wegwerfgesellschaft.  

Alle Produkte werden aus Respekt vor der Umwelt und der menschlichen Ethik in Deutschland hergestellt. Angefangen bei den Rohmaterialien. Nachhaltigkeit ist für mich ein sehr wichtiges Stichwort, was meine Arbeiten zu dem machen was sie letztendlich sind. 

 

 

 

 

I was born in the north of Germany and grew up in the south of Denmark.

The connection to Denmark is always formative for me in terms of lifestyle and designing clothes.  Even as a child I drew and painted on canvas and tried my hand at needle and thread.  Besides artistic hobbies, an important activity is sport especially soccer. This hobby, which I practised on the edge of professionalism, taught me to develop discipline, team spirit and full devotion to one thing. 

The devotion to fashion came on the one hand a lot through my big brother, even if we are two completely different individuals today. Fashion is a great connection point between us. Through my very close family relationship and long lasting friendships, points like honesty and trust are a big part of my work.

I intensively got into the subject of "fashion" when I graduated from secondary school in 2015 and really had to ask myself "what do I really want to do? And so I successfully completed my vocational baccalaureate from 2015 to 2018 with a state-approved training as a "design technical assistant, focus on fashion and design".

 

One of my greatest sources of inspiration is the daily life routine. In my work there is a process that takes place largely in the mind and not on paper.  

I always collect new impressions when I am in cities or in nature. Be it of people, buildings or other things. Then I stop for a moment and take a photo. I share these impressions via social media with the intention that someone might be as impressed in this moment as I am.  The full dedication to black & white came with the years. I tried out many different styles and finally had so many things that I couldn't make up my mind every morning and especially couldn't identify with what I was wearing.  And so it came about that I could develop the real beauty and the devotion to black & white. If you wear it, then you have to wear it with self-confidence, with intention, with full devotion and a matter of course. 

 

Imperfect can be perfect. 

In my work I like to use open edging or let threads stick out. This approach reflects the vividness of the clothing for me. At this point I work very precisely and polish a thing until it fits. That is why for me this is imperfect, perfect. An imperfect perfection if you will. My products are designed for a long life. Both in terms of quality, workmanship and the trend aspect. A red thread is of enormous importance for me from collection to collection. I distance myself completely from current trends and don‘t work trend-setting, so I swim against the current of today's throwaway society.  All products are manufactured in Germany out of respect for the environment and human ethics. Starting with the raw materials. Sustainability is a very important keyword for me, which makes my work what it is in the end.
